MINORITY CHILDREN SURPASS NON-MINORITY CHILDREN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY.

Pew analysis of latest Census Population Estimates tell us that this day has arrived where there are more minorities than  non-minority children being born in this country.  As of July 1, 2015, 50.2% of babies under the age of 1 were racial or ethnic minorities.  Within that group, a majority are Hispanic which means the US Born Hispanic population continue to boom in the next 10 to 20 years.  Whether or not the foreign born population will increase depends on immigration trends which at the moment have stayed relatively low since dropping significantly during the recession.  Link to report here (link).
